“I oppose Genocide, I Support P******** A*****”



“I oppose Genocide, I Support P******** A*****” is a portrait series exploring the quiet resilience of pro-Palestinian activists in the UK who are currently under counter-terrorism bail conditions due to the proscription of Palestine Action as a Terror organisation. Each image captures an individual caught in the space between accusation and freedom — a liminal state defined by surveillance, restriction, and uncertainty. Every participant was arrested under section 13 of the Terrorism Act which if found guilty is maximum 6 months in prison or up to £5000 in fines.

Through simple yet deliberate portraits, the series examines how repressive counter-terrorism laws are being weaponised to silence political expression and solidarity with Palestine. Stripped of overt symbolism, these portraits confront viewers with the humanity of those labelled as threats, prompting reflection on what it means to resist within a system that criminalises dissent.
